NECA today stated its strong support for the amendment to the health care legislation sponsored by Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) that will limit the small business exemption for employers in the construction industry. The exemption would have written into law a competitive advantage for construction employers who don’t provide health insurance for their workers.

NECA recently filed a request that OSHA extend the time period for comments on new minimum approach distance and wait until NESC has completed its review to implement any new regulations.
