An updated edition of the "Officer and Overhead Personnel Compensation Report" has been published by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).

Based on an industry-wide survey of electrical contracting firms, the report is an important tool for contractors to benchmark compensation and benefit levels. Survey results offer comparisons within the industry as a whole and broken down geographically and by sales volume.

The 2009 edition includes additional information on how the economy is affecting employee benefits.

The 2009 report's statistical data includes:

• Annual wages paid to overhead employees
• Officer compensation, including salaries, bonuses and dividends
• Vacation and sick leave policies
• Fringe benefit information
• Pension plan information

The report also includes average sales dollar per electrical workers, sales dollar return per labor dollar cost, average wages paid for electrical worker, percentage labor cost of sales, and number of overhead personnel by function.
