NECA's Table of Arc-Flash Energy Levels - Revised

Published:
2008
Description:

NECA Tables of Arc-Flash Energy Levels has been revised and improved for 2008.  This information is intended to serve as a guide to help electrical contractors and others comply with the NFPA 70E electrical safety standard.  Electrical work on equipment should be performed with the equipment in an electrically safe work condition in most situations unless the employer can demonstrate that de-energizing introduces additional or increased hazards or is infeasible due to equipment design or operational limitations (NFPA 70E 130.l).  When working on energized electrical equipment, this publication can be used to assist in selecting appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when used in conjunction with the required Flash Hazard Analysis (NFPA 70E 130.3).  This publication lists arc-flash incident energy levels for many types of energized electrical equipment.
