Pieper Electric is hiring an Estimator in Merrill WI. The Estimator will report to the Branch Supervisor and will maintain close relationships with departments regarding services and estimates.

Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Prepare disciplined estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work.
Coordinate estimating effort relevant to particular estimate as assigned.
Review and approve take-off and estimates done by estimator trainees under him/her.
Submit bids and proposals on projects estimated.
Prepare breakdown of estimate. Provide estimate information to Project Manager.
Prepare reports as requested.
Introduce cost saving ideas through redesign (Value Engineering opportunities).
High School education required
2 year technical degree preferred or equivalent experience
At least 3 to 5 years of estimating experienced required
3 years of experience with estimating software and onscreen estimating required. Accubid, preferred.
